ELH has been established for over twenty years. During
that time we have seen the industry go from something a mother did
at home around the children to an expanding fast paced business.
Once it was acceptable for anyone to host students. Now it is essential
that rigorous checks are in place to ensure the safety and good
welfare of the student.
Owner of the company, Jackie Verrall has been doing
this for her students right from inception. She works closely and
within all Social Service Guidelines and co-ordinates
“Operation Columbus” ( inspired by Sussex Police ) within
her company for the safety and welfare of the students. She personally
knows all her host families and ensures that the allocation of each
student fits the host family – thus ensuring a happy and carefree
stay. We have worked with all of the European market leaders if
not with One to Ones and Immersions, then Summer Groups, Juniors
and Short Stays.
We continue to expand our Centre each year as we
recruit new teachers and ensure the continuing availability of our
existing ones.

You may prefer to be met at the airport – station
or Seaport and taken directly to your family. We can do this for
you. Our Couriers are experienced in welcoming you to England. They
will be able to tell you something about the area you are staying
in and also a little about the region.
A lot of our Couriers are Police Checked; work within the Social
Services Directives or Licensed by the Local Authority. You
can be sure that we have taken up independent references as to their
suitability.
All Courier bookings are undertaken and made by us
personally and we will ensure that the Courier knows about any special
requirements you may have. During the summer months we can co-ordinate
up to 150 students on any one weekend. Both inbound and returning
home.
If we are meeting younger children we will give them that extra
special attention in case they are worried if this is their first
visit away from home.
