About English Language Homestays
English language courses for foreign and business students
English Language Homestays has its offices on the south coast of England and from it, runs many different types of English language training and tuition programmes. Firstly, we have the One to One ( 1:1) Homestay Teaching Programme which operates on the south coast as well as the beautiful East Anglia region.
Our school groups are welcomed to our 4 centres around our area and can be placed in the city centre of Brighton or in the quieter residential areas just outside of Brighton.
If you wish for a true taste of “ Olde Worlde” England, then choose our centre in the area of Steyning. This is just north of Brighton but has a true village atmosphere.
Jackie Verrall (jackie@englishlanguagehomestays.co.uk) is the owner and manager of English Language Homestays. Jackie has worked in the English language training
and education industry for over twenty years and has established long and lasting links with many European; American and Asian Agents. Jackie oversees all bookings and programmes for all groups and works on the
One to One Homestay Programmes with her Tutors/Teachers and Melissa Brugmann.
Melissa Brugmann is in charge of the Business English Studies and can help our teachers develop specific programmes for you, within the business sector. Melissa studied Languages
and Business Studies at Oxford. Many of our teachers are qualified state teachers or University Lecturers and keep fully up to date with current developments on all teaching programmes.
Mary McDonagh (operations@englishlanguagehomestays.co.uk) run our Short Stay Department and this relates to all of
our School Groups received throughout the year . She will determine which area would be best for your group and you can discuss this readily with her.

your students the most. Included in these programmes are evening and weekend activities.
Vicki Wood is our Accommodation Officer. Vicki has been a host family for thirty years and fully understands the needs of the students and vets all of our families very strictly.
This includes a yearly inspection and, if necessary, an emergency visit should students or their parents have any concerns or worries.
Gerry Owen (accounts@englishlanguagehomestays.co.uk) is our Accounts Director and all payments and accounts are managed by him. Gerry will liaise with you on the best way to do this.
